At FlyTru, Jason has worn many hats: Chief Pilot, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Operations, and now CEO. Frustrated by the inefficiencies, lack of integrity, and poor transparency he saw across the industry, Jason set out to build something better. In October 2021, FlyTru began with a single managed G-IV, originally operated solely for the owner. When the aircraft began chartering to offset costs, the company quickly gained momentum. Today, FlyTru proudly manages 15 aircraft on its Part 135 certificate, with 7 more scheduled to join soon. Jason’s vision is clear: to become the largest and most trusted aircraft management operator in Texas.

Born in Salado, Texas, and a proud graduate of Texas A&M, Jason is as grounded in his roots as he is ambitious in his goals. He’s married with three children and enjoys the outdoors—whether it’s hunting, fishing, camping, or water sports. His leadership philosophy is driven by integrity, innovation, and the belief that there’s always a better way to serve clients in private aviation.

His early professional roots were planted at Horizon Aviation Flight School, Abbot Air, and A&M Air, where he honed his skills before transitioning to commercial flying with Continental and Continental Express. As a dedicated instructor and mentor, Ben has also earned certifications as a CFI, CFII, MEI, APD, and Gold Seal Flight Instructor, personally issuing more than 1,800 flight certifications throughout his career. Teaching comes naturally to him—he even trained his own father and two sons to fly.

Outside the cockpit, Ben is a devoted family man, married for 37 years with four children. A childhood friend and former football teammate of Brett Favre, he has always lived life with energy and enthusiasm. Whether it's snow skiing, boating, hunting, golfing, or hiking, Ben thrives in the outdoors and brings that same vitality to his leadership.

His guiding legacy is simple yet profound: “My goal is to foster and mentor young pilots to become great within the aviation industry.”

When Dave started at FlyTru, the department consisted of just him and one aircraft. Today, under his leadership, the maintenance team has grown to 10 skilled professionals supporting a fleet of 15 aircraft, with 7 more set to join the certificate soon. Looking ahead, FlyTru’s maintenance division is preparing to expand into a larger facility to meet the demands of a rapidly growing fleet and ensure the highest levels of safety, reliability, and service.

Off the clock, Dave is a devoted family man—married with eight children—and finds joy in a life well-lived through hard work and craftsmanship. He enjoys fishing, hunting, boating, and remodeling homes in his spare time, bringing the same care and attention to detail to his hobbies as he does to every aircraft under his watch.

Julie began her aviation journey as a private jet flight attendant with Silver Air, where her drive to create best-in-class service quickly stood out. She played a key role in building Silver Air’s Inflight Services Department from the ground up—developing cabin service programs, creating the Cabin Attendant Handbook, establishing inflight experience standards, and eventually helping to form their Owner Services Department. After 11 successful years, she brought her expertise to FlyTru, where she’s spent the last three years developing and elevating the inflight service operation.

When Julie joined FlyTru, she was a one-woman department—hiring contract cabin attendants and operating without formalized manuals, procedures, or training programs. Today, FlyTru boasts a growing team of five in-house cabin attendants, a structured training and standardization program, and a consistent network of contract professionals. Looking ahead, Julie’s vision is to assign a lead cabin attendant for every large-cabin jet—someone who not only manages the inflight experience on their aircraft but also leads and mentors their own support team.

Julie holds multiple certifications that reflect her commitment to safety and service, including CPR Certification, Aircare FACTS Training, Business Aviation Hospitality Certification, and Evacuation Training.

Outside of aviation, Julie lives on a farm in Illinois, where she balances her high-flying career with her love for animals and the outdoors. She is a mother of four and a grandmother of four, and spends her free time doing rescue work for horses and dogs, horseback riding and training, cycling, and working out. Her dedication to both her passengers and her team continues to define the inflight experience at FlyTru.

Ashley began her journey in 2008 as a Customer Service Representative at Sacramento Jet Center, working across both SAC and SMF airports. It was there she got her first taste of the private side of flying, which would soon become her specialty. After graduating college, she joined XOJet as a Trip Manager, quickly rising to Day of Operations Trip Manager, where she became a vital liaison between operations teams and high-profile clients from 2012 to 2017. From there, she moved to Silver Air as a Charter Sales Representative and Operations Specialist, handling the fleet’s BBJs before being promoted to Operations Manager and eventually Director of Training. Her next chapter brought her to Wheels Up as a Recovery & Triage Operations Specialist, managing high-pressure logistics with precision and grace. In May 2022, she joined FlyTru to lead the growth and refinement of its operations department.

Ashley oversees a wide scope of responsibilities at FlyTru, including crew scheduling and compliance, hiring across flight and operations teams, fuel price negotiations, aircraft acquisitions, base management, TFSSP and SMS program oversight, and flight log auditing. She ensures that the operational side of FlyTru runs like a well-oiled machine—optimized, compliant, and customer-focused.

When FlyTru first launched, Ashley was a one-woman operations and sales department managing just four aircraft on certificate. Today, she leads a five-person ops team supporting over 15 aircraft on the 135 certificate and 5 more on the 91 certificate—with additional growth already underway. The future of the operations team is focused on scalable development to match the fleet’s rapid expansion, all while staying TRU to the values of integrity, agility, and excellence that built the foundation.

Outside of the hangar, Ashley is a loving mom who finds joy in the simple and active moments of life—gardening, crocheting, traveling, playing soccer, video games, and spending time with friends and family. Her enthusiasm for her work and her people shines through in everything she does, making her an integral part of FlyTru’s leadership and future.
